Templates may incorporate hardened drill bushings, scribe lines, laser-engraved part numbers, clamping hooks, and handling features that reduce operator fatigue during extended production shifts. We design for the actual manufacturing environment: glove-friendly edges, visible alignment marks, and weight limits appropriate for overhead assembly positions.

Template Types

Production Techniques

Templates are CNC machined from aluminium plate, phenolic composite, or steel depending on durability requirements. Bushings are press-fit or bonded using aerospace-approved adhesives where mechanical retention alone is insufficient. Engraved identification includes part number, revision, datum reference, and maximum allowable wear before refurbishment — supporting client MRO audit trails.

When templates exceed our in-house bed size, we segment intelligently with precision-keyed interfaces so operators assemble sub-templates on the part with the same accuracy as a monolithic design. This modular approach reduces raw material waste and simplifies replacement of high-wear zones.

Gauge Metrology

Dedicated inspection gauges verify hole diameter, edge distance, flushness, and slot width without transferring measurements to separate metrology rooms. These hand gauges accelerate in-process quality checks and reduce dependency on CMM capacity for routine features.
